Thanks for joining me! I’m Landrie and I’m very excited to start this beautiful blog and share some ideas and talk with you! This is a blog spotlighting modern women that have conquered countless hurdles to become inspiring icons.

This is so important to me, especially now, because I want to show girls that it’s okay to be yourself. If you want something go get it! These women have battled controversy and hate, and they have still come out stronger than ever before.

Empowerment starts with inspiration from other empowered individuals. For women specifically, it is important to find your role model. For example, if you are interested in becoming a film director, but are rethinking due to not knowing any successful female directors — think again! There are many, critically acclaimed female directors: among them Catherine Hardwicke (director of Twilight), Amy Heckerling (director of multiple 80s classics), and Julie Taymor (director of The Lion King on Broadway). Combat your doubts, and be a trail blazer if need be!

Look up to empowered women –be who you want to be, and become an empowered woman other young girls can look up to.
